Missouri women’s basketball alum Sophie Cunningham’s first year with the Indiana Fever has been cut short due to a season-ending right knee injury.

Cunningham was a vital player who averaged 8.6 points and made a substantial contribution to the dynamics of the team; thus, this injury raises questions about the Fever's chances of making the playoffs.
