WFMY News 2’s Brian Hall got a photo of the road conditions along highways in Forsyth County. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement on Friday urging residents to stay indoors and said the roads are not safe.

Around Knoxville and Knox County, roads are still slick following snow that fell on Friday. 6 News reporters Molly O'Brien and Kayla Prect, as well as Meteorologist Margo Altshuler are out monitoring road conditions.

Memphis is expected to receive four to six inches of snow on Friday, and road conditions are expected to worsen as the day goes on. The National Weather Service is urging drivers to stay off roads as much as possible on Friday as more snow falls throughout the day.

So far, people have seen anywhere from four to six inches of snow across the Memphis area. The area is expected to receive 6-8 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service Memphis. Here is how roads in Memphis are looking midday Friday.
