By hook or by crook, even with new owners Skydance bound to take over Paramount this year, there will be a fourth Sonic the Hedgehog with the studio dating it for March 19, 2027. That’s a week before the Easter holiday for those keeping track.

The fourth film in the Paramount Pictures franchise has grossed a series-best $422 million in theaters and generated more than $180 million in home entertainment rentals and purchases.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie surpasses $425 million in worldwide box office revenue. Film debuted with the biggest opening for the franchise in multiple countries. Fourth movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, set to release on March 19, 2027.
