Ubisoft Entertainment SA fell the most since September after the French video-game company announced another delay in its popular Assassin’s Creed franchise and analysts expressed doubts about its takeover prospects.

From its founding in 1986, French video game maker Ubisoft has grown into a giant of the sector with operations in 20 countries and an uber popular franchise, "Assassin's Creed".

Ubisoft announced a “strategic update” today, and the changes include a delay for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the upcoming entry in the franchise that takes place in feudal Japan, from February 14th to March 20th.

ASSASSIN’S Creed Shadows is facing another delay despite the game being feature-complete. The next game in the Assassin’s Creed series was originally supposed to be released on November 12, 2024,

Ubisoft responds to a video expose detailing the alleged abuse that employees underwent at a support studio that worked on Assassin's Creed Shadows.

This marks the second release date change for the video game, which was originally moved from its planned Nov. 15, 2024 launch to Feb. 14, 2025 at Ubisoft last September. The shift was attributed to quality concerns related to poor performance for “Star Wars Outlaws” at the time.

With the release date for Assassin's Creed Shadows fast approaching, the developers have taken a moment to highlight the parkour system in the next entry of the popular franchise.
