The Michigan Panthers, who were brought back as part of the USFL in 2022 before joining the merged UFL, are rumored to relocate for the 2026 season.

The Columbus franchise would play in Historic Crew Stadium, the former home of Columbus Crew which has a seating capacity of 19,968. That size, Repole said, is perfect for the UFL.

The UFL was created in 2024 with the merger of the XFL and the USFL. Its 2025 regular season, which ran from late March through June 1, included financial struggles.
