Aug 23, 2007 · Both set are suppose to be 84mm. The CP pistons measure out to be 83.7mm and the Wiseco measure in at 84mm. I don't like JE piston because the advertised compression is off. When I compression test a stock 2g with factor 8.5:1 pistons, I usually get 180-185psi. When I compression test a motor with JE 8.5:1 pistons, I only get 160-170psi.

Nov 5, 2003 · JE, Wiseco, CP, Ross, and Lunati all make very good pistons. Diamond also makes a quality piston. Their machining quality is excellent.

Jun 8, 2008 · +1 you cant go wrong on either pistons, i own Wiescos and my friend owns JE i think there both good pistons, ive seen his go through 2 piston slaps when his timing belt jumped 2 times and he still has the same JE pistons in the car going like a champ. Of course he has stock valves is what saved his pistons from crumbling.

Jan 31, 2007 · We had same builder John (Modular Performance). Installed engine a couple weeks ago and I have trouble believing how quiet they run. John used Diamond pistons that were "Swain coated,", Swain according to their web site does NASCAR piston coatings. My engine never ran so quiet.

Aug 12, 2021 · So if your question was if EVO9 pistons can be used in a 420A engine without modifications, then the answer is No. If you want aftermarket forged parts, just go with Wiseco or JE forged piston w/ Eagle or Manley rods.

Nov 12, 2018 · Its got JE in it now (202192) but unfortunately rings for them are NLA as its an old piston and they run thinner rings on everything now. CP do a suitable drop in replacement which is the SC7253, or alternatively Wiseco do one too, K596M85

Dec 26, 2002 · These are some pictures of the JE.20 pistons (2618), and the link above shows car details and modifications, Some ones said was too much timing , another's wrong cylinder wall clearance . Is a dairy drive car with aprox 6700 miles. Only 2 times was race on track. Was tuned on dyno 7 days before go to track. Run at 820C egt. 22lb boost 93 octanes.
