Tourism bring in lots of money, this is to put off tourists from visiting. It's purposeful government enshittification to slowly kill every industry we have ala death by a thousand cuts.The government is purposefully making things worse so that when things get really bad, we beg the government to fix the problems (that they caused) and the way to do that will be to, of course, hand them more power.They keep doing it because everyone keeps falling for it.
