We recently had two clutches of wild blue duck / whio eggs brought to us as part of DOC's WHIONE programme (Whio Operation Nest Egg). The first clutch of 4 hatched successfully 10 days ago and are being raised here with a smaller captive bred clutch from Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. Here they are enjoying a swim outside in the sun this morning (purple bands). The second wild clutch is due to hatch later this week. | The Isaac Conservation and Wildlife Trust
