Police were told that an intruder stabbed Christine Banfield to death and her husband, Brendan Banfield shot the intruder dead. The family's au pair initially told police she saw the killer repeatedly stab 37-year-old Christine, but Wednesday, the au pair testified that story was a lie, and she was part of a plot to kill the wife.
